ABOUT
Executive Order 273 directs all national government offices and instrumentality and local government units to take appropriate steps to ensure full implementation of the policies, strategies, programs, and projects outlines in the Philippine Plan for Gender-Responsive Development, and in consonance with Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2013-01 approving the implementing Rules and Regulations on the Localization of the Magna of Women. This initiative aims to inspire and support development policy and practice, for social justice and gender equality.
Defined by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), Gender and Development (GAD) is the development perspective and process that is participatory and empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights, supportive of self-determination and actualization of human potentials.
PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES, AND PROJECTS
Benchmarking at LGU Makati wherein LGU Bongabong delegation got to meet officials of the city headed by VM Lagdameo who graciously hosted our SB members, Office heads and staff to share some of Makati’s best practices in the field of Gender and Development (GAD) and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). On-going Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting for Fiscal Year 2023 Formulation headed by Mayor Doc Elgin Malaluan with SB Committee Chairperson on Social Welfare Councilor Vicky Baes Padullo and Councilor Evelyn Alea.
Resource Speaker Ms. Amelia Ramos MLGOO of Pinamalayan discussed GAD Planning and Budgeting, Orientation on GERL Tool Form (Assessment for Organizational, Capacities and Basic Services) together with MLGOO of Bongabong Ms. Ma. Fatima Santiago.
Participants of the formulation are Dr. Romeo Bayanay and Dr. Carla Reyes from DepEd, Barangay Captain Honorio Saulong, Sir Christon Ligon LCE Secretary, MSWDO Judy Meonada, and Representatives from different department of LGU Bongabong.

It seeks to achieved gender equality as a fundamental value that should be reflected in development choices and contends that women are active agents of development and not passive recipients of developements.
